The Competition will be on Saturday June and 3rd but we will also be hosting a World Famous Don Hood Pole Vault Camp all Day Friday the 2nd and the morning of the 3rd. This is a perfect opportunity to get some professional coaching on Friday and then put it into practice on Saturday!
Summer Sunset Vault FAQ's
When is the competition? Saturday June 3rd. Groups will start at aprox 4pm and go through aprox 11:30pm. Once the sun goes down we will have a fully lit stadium. We will have 2 to 3 pits depending on the number of entries.
What time will my group Jump? Groups will be decided based on the number and level of entries we receive. We will have a tenative schedule of groups posted by Monday May 22nd and an exact list groups will be posted by Thursday June 1st at noon. These will be posted to our Website, Facebook & Instagram. [Tentatively we will groups starting at 4 pm, 7pm & 10pm with 2-3 pits].
Where will the competition be held? In Abilene, TX at ACU's Elmor Gray Track and Field Stadium. Address and map can be found on the registration page.
Who is able to vault? ALL VAULTERS (beginner, JH, HS, College, Open, Masters)
How Do I Sign-Up? Click HERE and you will be directed to the signup page where you will find all the info you need regarding signing up. Make sure you sign up early to avoid a late fee and to make sure you get a spot!
Can I Rent Poles? Yes, For $75 you can use anything you need for the competition. Please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org if you would like to rent poles.
